The England's Under 21 completed the loan move to Steve Bruce side and he became and instant success. Willock has emerged as one of the fans favourite following his match winning performance every game week for Newcastle.
On Wednesday, Willock became the youngest-ever Premier League player to score in six straight matches following his goal against Sheffield United.
Recall that Newcastle confirmed their Premier League status after they defeated Leicester City last week at the St James Park.
Meanwhile, Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta is delighted with Willock’s development so far at Magpies.
During his press conference ahead of Sunday's home against Brighton, Mikel provided an update on Willock future.
The Spanish boss went ahead to praise the youngster for his form since he joined Newcastle.
Recall that Joe Willock joined Newcastle on a season loan in January after he wasn't able to find a starting shirt under Mikel Arteta.
Arteta said: "Yes, I am really happy that things have gone so well because of the potential that he has. I think it was great for him to go away and have a different experience, he has grabbed that opportunity in a really positive and remarkable way and he will come back to us, we will have a conversation with him and plan the next years for him."
According to the manager, the young English international will remain at Arsenal next season.
When asked whether Willock will be an Arsenal player next season, Arteta said: "For sure because he's got a contract and that's going to be here. That's for sure."
