Lionel Messi pictured at the gym with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo as He nears new Barcelona deal

Lionel Messi led Argentina to glory in the 2020 Copa America. Argentina defeated Brazil 1-0 in the final at the Maracana Stadium last week. 

Lionel Messi won his first international championship with Argentina. Angel Di Maria's strike in the 22nd minute was enough for the Albiceleste to win the game. 

The Barcelona's captain was also named the player of the tournament and he scooped the top scorer award. 

Lionel Messi is currently on holiday with his family after the competition ended last week. The 35 years old is a free agent after his contract with Barcelona ended last month. 

Goal reports that Messi is yet to sign a new contract with Barcelona but the president Joan Laporta is confident that their talisman will sign the new deal once he return to Spain. 

Earlier today (July 15th 2021), Lionel Messi was spotted in the gym with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo. The Argentine international posed for a mirror selfie while working on his fitness. 

Recall that Messi married his childhood sweetheart Antonela in July 2017.
