Alisson Becker has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool FC

Liverpool have confirmed the contract extension of their goalkeeper. The Reds have been preparing for the forthcoming 2021-2022 season.

Recall that Liverpool weren't able to retain their Premier League title but managed to finish third in the Premier League table last season. Jurgen Klopp lost some "key players" in his squad due to injuries during the season.

Liverpool have started contract extension for their "valuable" players in order to prevent their rival clubs from signing these players. Few days ago, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fabinho signed long term contract extensions.

Earlier today (August 4th 2021), the Reds have confirmed that Alisson Becker has signed a new long-term contract.

Alisson Becker joined Liverpool from Serie A side, AS Roma in 2018 and he guided Liverpool to Premier League in 2020, Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup in 2019.

The Brazilian international has made130 appearances, keeping 57 clean sheets and scoring once against West Bromwich Albion last season.
