Tokoy 2020: Tennis star, Alexander Zverev becomes the first German to win Olympic gold medal in singles

Alexander Zverev has clinched gold in the men's singles at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The German picked the gold medal on Sunday, August 1st 2021 after producing a dominant display to defeat the ROC’s Karen Khachanov 6-3, 6-1 79 minutes at the Tokyo Olympics.

Recall that Zverev sealed his spot in final after he battled back from a set down to upset top seed Novak Djokovic in the semi final on Friday July 29th 2021. 
He becomes the first German to win an Olympic gold medal in singles since Steffi Graf.
