Premier League Club Liverpool have provided medical update about their teenager who was stretched off against Leeds United. 


Liverpool recorded 3-0 win against Marcelo Bielsa side at Elland Road on Sunday evening Kick off. Mohamed Salah netted his 100th Premier League goal to give the Reds the lead. 
Unfortunately, Harvey Elliott was injured following a tackle from Pascal Struijk who was sent off. Elliott was replaced by Jordan Henderson. 

Meanwhile, Liverpool via their verified Instagram page (@liverpoolfc) confirmed that the youngster has been discharged from the hospital. 

The post reads: "We can confirm Harvey Elliott has been discharged from hospital after suffering a serious ankle injury in the game against Leeds United on Sunday.
The 18-year-old was stretchered from the field at Elland Road after sustaining the injury in a challenge midway through the second half."

The 18 years is expected to undergo surgery after he injured his ankle from the challenge. The expected date of Harvey Elliott wasn't stated but Liverpool appreciated the fans for their support. 

The statement added:" Elliott will be required to undergo surgery in the coming days and the club will offer a further update on his prognosis in due course.

" Harvey, his family and Liverpool FC would like to place on record their thanks to the paramedics and all the staff at Leeds General Infirmary for the care and treatment given."
Fabinho and late Sadio Mane strike sealed the three points for Jurgen Klopp men at the end as Leeds finished the game with ten men.
