Jesse Lingard paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo by adapting his goal celebration. The Manchester United star returned to Gareth Southgate team for the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers after he missed out in the Three Lions squad for the 2020 European Championship where they claimed silver.

Lingard struck home for England in their World Cup qualifier against Andorra on Sunday and celebrated with his own version of Ronaldo's renowned leap in front of the fans but added his trademark JL finger signature as he landed.

Lingard scored for England against Andorra and added his JL touch to Ronaldo's 'siu' celebration.

Lingard was close to leaving United for West Ham this summer transfer window after his successful loan spell at West Ham last season.

Ronaldo's celebration is known by fans worldwide and consists of him leaping, turning in mid-air while bellowing 'siuuu' and landing feet spread.

Recall that Ronaldo did his trademark celebration when scoring twice in Portugal's 2-1 win over Ireland last week.

Ronaldo recently completed his return to Manchester United after he spent two years with Juventus.
