Karim Benzema named La Liga's player of the month of September

Karim Benzema has been named LaLiga player of the month for September. 

The Real Madrid forward has been in terrific form this season. Recall that Benzema guided The Los Blancos to finish second in the league table behind eventual Champions Atletico Madrid. 

Benzema goal scoring form caught the attention of France national team coach Didier Deschamps who recalled the forward back after years of exile. 

Karim Benzema produced some stunning performances in the four games last month against Celta, Valencia, Mallorca and Villarreal, where he scored 6 goals and provided 3 assists. He bagged a hat-trick against the Galician side, before netting a brace against Mallorca.

The Real Madrid forward is LaLiga's top scorer so far, with 9 goals as well as the league's top assist-maker, having set up 5 goals.
