Zinedine Zidane saw his side record a 1-2 win over Getafe on Saturday.
The French manager marked his 100th game in charge of Real Madrid with a win.
Ronaldo who scored his first goal of the season after match day seven, and Karim Benzema who returned from injury.
While speaking after the game, he said “we started well, made chances and went in the break at 1-0. In the first 10 or 15 minutes of the second half we cooled off a bit but rounded the game off with character, getting the win and the three points. The game was good but not perfect. We're happy with the result, let's see if we can catch the others. It was a deserved win and that's that”.
“It was 90 minutes and we knew we could score whenever. The first ten minutes of the second half were tough but we coped. Isco did great and came up with the assist. We weren't as tight in the second half. We changed our tack and found that hole for Isco to set up Cristiano Ronaldo's first goal this year”.
On why he decided to rotate his squad, the UEFA Champions League coach winner said:
After the international break, where many players played key games and some of them stayed here and trained. We knew we needed everyone and they all played well. Karim and Marcelo played an hour more or less. Now we have a game every three days and we need all hands on deck”.

On his captain Sergio Ramos health condition, he said:
