Modric pose with his UEFA best player and best midfielder awards

Luka Modric picked up two awards at the UEFA awards which went down this evening at the headquarters in Monaco.

Modric was named UEFA best midfielder, as well as the player of the year. It's been a stunning year for The Croatian, who picked up silver in FIFA world cup, named the competition best player as well.


He won the UEFA Champions League for the third time in a row under Zinedane Zidane.

Modric edged his team mate, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah of Liverpool to win the gong.
