Polish second-tier club KS Raków Częstochowa have announced the capture of former Nigeria U17 star Chidiebere Nwakali from Manchester City.

The central midfielder has ended his association with the English Premier League champions after penning a two-year deal with Raków Częstochowa, with the option to extend inserted into the contract.

Nwakali departs Manchester City without playing competitively for their first team due to the challenges he faced in obtaining a work permit.

The 21-year-old was loaned out to Malaga, Girona, IK Start, Sogndal and most recently Aberdeen while he was on the books of Manchester City.

He featured in a post-season friendly for the Super Eagles B team against Atlético de Madrid in May 2018.

Raków Częstochowa are top of the Polish I Liga standings with 16 points accumulated from seven matches.
