The FA has fined Liverpool’s coach, Jurgen Klopp, the sum of £45,000 for comments he made about referee Kevin Friend after his side’s 1-1 draw against West Ham earlier this month.
Klopp’s post-match comments about referee Kevin Friend had implied that the referee’s apparent mistake in the first half influenced his other decisions in the game.
Sadio Mane had given Liverpool the lead in the said match, though replays showed James Milner was offside during the build-up to the goal.
Liverpool had two credible penalty calls ignored, which prompted Klopp’s statement about the referee.
