Alexis Sanchez is set to undergo a scan on Sunday to determine the full extent of his knee injury after limping off in Manchester United's 3-2 win over Southampton .
The Chilean forward had a miserable afternoon at Old Trafford - and things went from bad to worse when he was challenged by Jan Bednarek in the box and twisted awkwardly just five minutes into the second half.
He underwent treatment and was instantly withdrawn leaving serious doubts over his future at Old Trafford as he waits anxiously to discover the full extent of potential ligament damage.
"We don't know yet, it might be ligaments," Solskjaer admitted after the game.
"We'll give him a scan tomorrow."

There were plenty of positives for United as they snatched a dramatic win after a far from perfect performance.
It was a performance which Solskjaer admitted reminded him of his glory days as a player at Old Trafford.
"The manner of it was like the old days," he said.
"I've been through that myself a few times!"
