Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will no longer be wearing the number 21 shirt for Liverpool - he will instead don 15.

The England international midfielder has worn the number 21 since signing for the Anfield club from Arsenal two seasons ago.

The number 15 jersey was worn by Daniel Sturridge in this time, but it has since become vacant following the striker's departure from the club.

Sturridge announced this week that his six-and-a-half year spell at Liverpool would finally be coming to an end this summer.

The forward made an announcement on social media, while also breaking the news on Liverpool's official website.

In a message to fans, Sturridge wrote: "What can I say… It's been one hell of a ride at this beautiful club. We were together for seven seasons and took a little break in between.

"We had a lot of highs and lows together but through it all remained together knowing that one day we'd have to break up. That time is now.

"I wanna say to the fans I love you all. You made me feel so welcome and embraced me with open arms.

"The Sturridge dance became famous at Anfield and I'll never forget the first time I did it in front of the Kop."
