Barcelona new signing, Neto suffered a fractured wrist during the Blaugrana’s recent training session ahead of Athletic Bilbao’s clash. The Brazilian goaliw will undergo more examinations on Monday to further determine the severity of the injury, and then an estimated recovery time will be known. Neto only arrived in July from Valencia for 26 million euros as he became their second summer signing after Frenkie de Jong.
Barcelona released an official statement about Neto’s injury but the extent of the injury will be determined on Monday.
“In the last training session, first team player Neto suffered a bruise on his left wrist. The tests have diagnosed a scaphoid bone fracture. The treatment to follow, and the time the player is out for, will be determined on Monday.
“It should be remembered that Neto was the second signing of this summer, after Frenkie de Jong, and he participated in the first four friendlies of pre-season. The Brazilian came from Valencia and was officially presented as a new player of FC Barcelona on July 9.”
