Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte has had knee surgery in Barcelona after sustaining cartilage and meniscus damage in the win over Brighton.
City said in a statement on Wednesday that they are still to learn how long the France defender will be out for.
'The surgery, carried out by Dr Ramon Cugart, was successful and a more detailed prognosis will be provided in due course,' City said.

Laporte injured his knee when fouling Brighton's Adam Webster during City's 4-0 victory.
He stayed down and was in clear discomfort before being carried off of the pitch on a stretcher.
Guardiola, who described Laporte as the world's best left-sided centre-back only on Friday, said following the game: 'I think he is in hospital. It doesn't look good but I don't know exactly what he has done.
'He didn't feel good. I think, for a while, he will be out.'
