Aston Villa have sealed their ticket to the final of the League Cup. This win came after the Championship new boys defeated the Foxes 2-1 at the Villa Park on Tuesday night.
After earning a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium on January 8, Villa knew they had to turn up good performance against Brendan Roger's side.
The winger got on the end of Ahmed El Mohamady's superb cross from the right and sent a fine volley across goal and into the right corner.
It gave Villa a 3-2 aggregate at the end of 90 minutes.
Matt Targett had given Villa a 12th-minute lead, but Leicester deservedly levelled through Kelechi Iheanacho in the 72nd minute.
Nigerian midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi returned to the starting side for the Foxes, Jamie Vardy not fit to start.
The game looked destined for an extra time until Leicester stood off El Mohamady and allowed him to deliver a high-quality ball, for Trezeguet to side-foot past Schmeichel.
The result means Villa will have to wait to the winner between Manchester City vs Manchester United tomorrow to know their opponents at the final in Wembley.
Recall that Manchester City defeated Manchester United 3-1 in the first leg at Old Trafford.
