Nigerian star, Henry Onyekuru leaves Galatasaray to return to Monaco

Nigerian forward, Henry Onyekuru has left Galatasaray following the expiry of his loan.

Onyekuru moved to Turkey for his second loan spell from Ligue 1 club Monaco.

It was gathered that the Turkish Super Lig club was unable to reach an agreement with the French club over the extension of the Nigerian forward's temporary deal.

He made 12 appearances across all competitions and his last outing was against league leaders Istanbul Basaksehir last Sunday.

“Rental agreement ending. Henry Onyekuru said goodbye to our technical team and teammates. Have a nice trip,” the club tweeted

The 23-year-old won the Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup with the Lions last season.

He also took to his page to confirm he will return to Monaco,but thanked Galatasaray.

“I can’t thank Galatasaray enough for the love during my second spell at the club. You are forever in my heart, until we meet again... Cimbom,” Onyekuru tweeted.
