It's understood that Arsenal have been active in the transfer market as they hope to add some quality players to their squad.
Recall that the Brazilian, 32 years old turned down a two years contract extension which was offered by Chelsea.
Sky Sports reported that the winger wanted a three years contract, which saw Mikel Arteta snap up the advantage to sign the former Shakhtar Donetsk star.
Meanwhile, Willian has revealed that David Luiz was instrumental to persuading him to move to the Emirates stadium.
“He said, ‘Come to Arsenal, come to Arsenal, I want you to come!’ So that was the conversation. He is a very nice guy, a top player and I’m very excited to play with him again.” Willian told Arsenal Digital.
“Of course [he helped in the past], many times. Many times when I had difficult times at Chelsea he was helping me a lot. He is this kind of person that wants to help, especially young players without experience. He is the guy that helps everyone.”
Recall that David Luiz signed a year extension after he joined Arsenal last year from Chelsea on a year deal.
