The Switzerland international scored a thunderous free kick in the first half to double the Arsenal's lead after Lacazette penalty.
Xhaka recently returned from his suspension after he was sent off for grabbing Westwood neck in Arsenal's loss to Burnley weeks ago.
This wasn't the first time he was sent off for misconduct which fans hasn't been happy with him. He was even strip off the captaincy under Unai Emery.
But the midfielder has comeback with a response.
Xhaka said after the game: “People started to talk a lot after the game [against Burnley].
"Of course I was very disappointed about the red card. I knew what I did was wrong but I am just happy that I helped the team and I’m back.
"I will always show my character and continue to give 100%.”
