The Whites scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot after Patrick Bamford was fouled by Nick Pope. Bamford dispatched the penalty to notch his 10th Premier League goal of the term.
The Clarets were denied an equaliser after Ashley Barnes found the back of the net as the referee penalised Ben Mee for a foul on Illan Meslier.
Leeds are next in Premier League action on the road against West Brom on Tuesday. Burnley host Sheffield United on the same day.
