The final games of the group stage went down today and the final spot have been completed.
Earlier today, Sweden and Spain qualified after their victories against Poland and Slovakia.
The Swedish side ended Robert Lewandowski and Poland hopes of qualifying for the round of 16. While Spain defeated Slovakia 5-0 as Luis Enrique side dominated the game all through the 90 minutes.
In the final round of games, France were held to a 2-2 draw against Portugal after Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema scored two goals each for their teams.
Germany managed to clinch third place spot after they came from two goals down to draw Hungary 2-2 in Munich. Joachim Low side were on the edge of being knocked out by Hungary with less than 10 minutes left to play.
Kai Havertz pulled a goal back for Germany before Leon Goretzka shot on the edge of the box completed the comeback.

The round of 16 games will resume this Saturday, June 26th 2021.
Meanwhile, Turkey, Russia, northern Macedonia, Scotland, Slovakia, Poland, Finland and Hungary have all been eliminated from the competition after they finished fourth in their groups.
