Cristiano Ronaldo swapped jerseys with ex team mate Karim Benzema and youngster Kylian Mbappe

France were held to a 2-2 draw against Portugal in their final group clash. It was a game that witnessed array of world class players for both teams on the pitch.

France needed a point to confirm their top spot after they defeated Russia in their first game and played a draw against Hungary in the second.

Meanwhile, Portugal needed to avoid a defeat in order to secure second spot after they defeated Hungary and lost heavily to Germany who face Hungarian side in their corresponding fixture.

It was a show between Ronaldo and his former team mate, Karim Benzema as the two world class strikers scored twice in the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo score the opening goal from the penalty spot after 30 minutes after he sent Hugo Lloris the wrong way.

But Karim Benzema responded after Semedo fouled Kylian Mbappe in the box. Benzema converted the penalty and added the second three minutes later.

Portugal continued to build their attack and eventually were rewarded with another penalty which Ronaldo scored.

After the first half break, Ronaldo was spotted exchanging jersey with his former team mate, Karim Benzema.

Both players looked happy to see each other for the first time since Ronaldo left Real Madrid four years ago.

Ronaldo has now scored five goals in the European Championship which makes him the top scorer of the competition. Karim Benzema scored his first goal for France since five years ago.

Juventus star was also seen exchanging jersey with France star kylain Mbappe in the dug out after the game.
