Arsenal are currently leading the race to sign Brighton Hove Albion defender. The Gunners are interested in the 23-year-old who broke into the limelight following his participation with Leeds United last season.

According to Daily Mail Online, Arsenal will been reshuffling their squad in the summer following a disappointing campaign.

Recall that Mikel Arteta side crashed out of the Europa League in semi final stage after they failed to defeat Villarreal. Also, the Gunners finished the season in 8th position and will not be play any European club competition next season.

Arsenal have placed the centre back position as one their priorities after David Luiz left the club as a free agent. Arsenal are left with Rob Holding, Pablo Mari and Gabriel Magalhães who will not be available in the beginning of the 2021-2022 season because of the Olympics.
According to the Guardian, Brighton have agreed Arsenal's £50m bid for the player. Arsenal had an initial £40m bid turned down several days ago.

The North London side hope to complete the deal this weekend after agreeing personal terms with the 23-year-old who is currently participating in the European Championship with England.

Ben Whites received a late call-up to England’s Euro 2020 squad after injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Apparently, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the deal for the defender is imminent.

Taking to his official Twitter account, he captioned: "Arsenal are confident to sign Ben White from Brighton in the next few days, as reported by @David_Ornstein. Work in progress on final fee, personal terms already agreed. ⚪️🔴 #AFC"
Arsenal are already preparing for his arrival after they allowed centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos join Stuttgart from Arsenal on a one-year loan with an option to buy for £3m.
