Ferran Torres handed jersey no. 19 as He's been included in Barcelona squad to face Real Madrid #ElClasico

Barcelona have been given clearance to register their latest signing Ferran Torres just in time ahead of their Super Cup clash against Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old Spanish international will play his first El Clásico tonight against the Los Blancos.

Barcelona allowed Philippe Coutinho join Aston Villa on a season loan deal. The Brazil international is among the top earners at Camp Nou. The departure of Coutinho allowed Barcelona free their wage budget in order to accommodate Torres. 

Recall that Torres joined the Blaugrana for a fee in the region of £50m on long time contract. He has been handed jersey number 19.

The former Valencia winger left Manchester City after spending two seasons with Pep Guardiola in England.

Xavi Hernandez has included Torres in his squad to face Carlo Ancelotti's Real Madrid side. The kick off is 8:45pm GMT.
