Karim Benzema suffers calf injury which has ruled him out of El Clasico

Real Madrid set to host Barcelona in the El Clásico on Sunday night. It's been gathered that game is expected to kick off at 9pm GMT.

The Los Blancos are currently sitting on top of the Spainsh La Liga table with 66 points and they could extend the lead over third placed Barcelona. 

Carlo Ancelotti have announced his squad for the home game against their oldest rival at the Santiago Bernabéu.

It's been gathered that Frenchman, Karim Benzema will be unavailable for the El Clásico.

The 34-year-old suffered a a calf injury which he picked up during the 3-0 win over Mallorca last week.

Benzema absence will be a huge miss for Real Madrid, The Frenchman leads Real's scoring charts with 22 league goals.

Although, Carlo Ancelotti will turn to Luka Jovic, Asensio, Vinicius Jnr and Eden Hazard in the attack option.
