Manchester United secured their second consecutive victory in their pre season after 4-1 comeback against Melbourne In Australia. The Erik Den Hag era seems to have started on a winning run after 5-0 thrashing of Liverpool in Thailand last week.
Meanwhile, the highlight of the match against Melbourne was the debut of ex Manchester United star, Luis Nani.
LuÃs Carlos Almeida da Cunha ComM, commonly known as Nani, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a winger for A-League Men club Melbourne Victory.
The 34 years old Portugal international faced his former team shortly after he joined Melbourne thus summer as a free agent.
Recall that Nani spent eight years at Old Trafford stadium where he joined in 2007–08 from Sporting CP.
During his spell at Manchester United, he won four Premier League titles and the 2007–08 UEFA Champions League, along with the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup, two League Cups and three Community Shields.
He returned to Sporting on loan in which he won the Portuguese Cup, he was signed by Turkish side Fenerbahçe in 2015.
But a year later he signed for Valencia in Spain. He rejoined Sporting in 2018, before moving to Major League Soccer side Orlando City, whom he captained for three seasons before leaving at the end of 2021. In January 2022, he moved to Venezia in Italy.
After the friendly game, Nani presented his former Manchester United shirt with jersey no 17 to David De Gea.
He later struck pose with some of the Manchester United background staff.
