Forgotten Ex Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze, 30, makes return to Germany as he debuts for Eintracht Frankfurt (Photos)

Mario Gotze made his debut for Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt last night in their DFB Pokal game.

The Ex Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich attacking midfielder returned to Germany after he spent brief spell in Eredivisie with PSV.

Gotze wore jersey number 27 thrilled the fans in their 4-0 thumping of FC Magdeburg.

The midfielder will be hoping for regular playing time at Frankfurt in the forthcoming 2022-23 season in order to feature in Hansi Flick World Cup squad for Germany.

Gotze who is now 30 featured for Germany national team at 2010 World Cup in South Africa at age 18. The midfielder scored the winning goal against Argentina in the final that won Germany the World Cup.

It's been gathered that former Bayern Munich star hasn't played for the national team of Germany since 2017. He has represented his country 63 times scoring 17 goals.
