Barcelona terminates 31 years old striker, Martin Braithwaite after two years at Camp Nou

Barcelona have agreed to terminate the contract of Martin Braithwaite after spending two years at Barcelona.


The 31 years old mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Barcelona after he was surplus to requirement.
Martin Braithwaite is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Denmark national team.

Reportminds Blog understands that Barcelona is currently undergoing rebuilding under their new manager Xavi Hernandez.

Although, several players such as Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, Jules Koundé, Frank Kessie and Andreas Christensen have been signed so far this season.

Braithwaite hasn't been named in Barcelona's squad for the season after been told to find another club.

Barcelona have confirmed the exit of of the Demark international with the statement which reads:

" Barcelona and Martin Braithwaite have reached an agreement to terminate the contact binding the player to the club until the end of the 2023/24 season.

"FC Barcelona publicly expresses its gratitude to Braithwaite for his commitment and dedication and wishes him the best of fortune and every success in the future."

The Danish striker joined FC Barcelona from Leganés in the 2020. He scored five goals and gave three assists in his 44 league games, and also scored three goals in the Champions League and two in the Copa del Rey, for Barcelona. 

Braithwaite won the Copa del Rey in 2020/21, scoring an extra time winner against Sevilla in the semi-final at the Camp Nou.
