Legendary Ukraine footballer Andriy Shevchenko presents Lewandowski with special armband to wear at World Cup in Qatar (Photos)

Legendary Ukraine striker Andriy Shevchenko gave Robert Lewandowski an armband in the colors of Ukraine’s flag which he will take to the World Cup. 

34-year-old Barcelona striker is expected to captain the Poland national to the 2022 FIFA World of Cup holding in Qatar this year. 

Reportminds Blog understands that Lewandowski will be wearing the armband as part of their solidarity to Ukraine who are being attacked by Russia. 

UEFA, the European governing body for football bs already excluded Russia from EURO 2024 qualifiers because of the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Shevchenko was seen presented the special armband to Lewandowski who accepted it with a smile on his face.

Poland will kick off their campaign in the World Cup in Qatar in Group C against Mexico on November 22nd.

They will face Saudi Arabia and final group game Argentine on 30th of November.
