Throwback photos of Barcelona star, Robert Lewandowski making his debut for his national team as a defender has gone viral.

Robert Lewandowski, 34-year-old, is a Poland international who plays as striker for Spanish club Barcelona.

The former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund striker made his debut for national team, Poland as defender on this day, September 10,2008.

Lewandowski made his debut on this day for Poland in 2008, three weeks after his 20th birthday, against San Marino. 

The Polish international came on as a substitute and scored a goal in a 2–0 away win in 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification.

Robert Lewandowski has so far recorded 132 caps for his national team scoring 76 goals.
