Marc Overmars, a former player for Arsenal, was hospitalized on Thursday after experiencing a "mild stroke."
Reportminds Blog understands that his current team, Royal Antwerp has sent his a swift recovery message in a statement.
The statement read in part: “Marc Overmars, director of football affairs at RAFC, became unwell last night and was admitted to hospital with a mild stroke. RAFC wishes Marc a speedy recovery!”
If you remember that during his tenure at Arsenal, Overmars, 49, won the English Premier League and FA Cup.
Overmars has served as the director of football at Ajax and Royal Antwerp since his retirement in 2009
