Former Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed what he told South Korea player during their final group stage match on Friday.
The 37-year-old was seen giving a gesture to the Korean player as he made his way out of the pitch when he was substituted.
Recall that Portugal claimed their qualification into the round of 16 despite the defeat to South Korea.
According to Cristiano Ronaldo, he had a verbal argument with a South Korean player who blamed him for not leaving the field quickly enough when he was replaced in Portugal's 2-1 World Cup loss on Friday.
Despite the result that sent South Korea into the round of 16, Portugal remained at the top of Group H.
However, Ronaldo looked irritated as he slowly slipped away as his numbers increased in the 65th minute.
"When I was substituted, it happened. I told the Korean player to shut up because he has no authority, and the Korean player told me to leave faster," Ronaldo told reporters.
