Bukayo Saka's performances have impressed former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand.
Ferdinand asserted that the Arsenal starlet is already the Premier League's young player of the year. While stating that Erling Haaland of Manchester City should win the senior player of the season award.
Within the first two minutes of the Gunners' away Premier League match against Brighton & Hove Albion, Saka scored the opening goal. The 21-year-old has contributed six assists and seven goals so far this season.
Arsenal currently has a 4-1 advantage over Brighton in their matchup. For Mikel Arteta's group, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Eddie Nketiah have also recorded goals.
Rio Ferdinand, a retired English footballer has taken to his social media space to praise the England and Arsenal forward.
Former Manchester United captain tweeted: “#saka is PL young player of the year already….hand it to him asap….and give Haaland the senior award too while ya at it!!”
On the other hand, Erling Haaland scored his 21st goal in the Premier League in Manchester City 1-1 draw against Everton on Saturday, December 31.
The Norway international seems to having a great season so far, becoming the fastest player to score 20 goals in the league.
