Young manager Julian Nagelsmann replaced Hansi Flick as manager of the Allianz Arena last year.
When the Bayern Munich board decided to fire manager Julian Naglesmann early on Friday, it stunned the football community.
According to rumours, the Bavarian giants are reportedly planning to hire Thomes Tuchel, a former manager of Chelsea and Dortmund.
The 35-year-old manager seems to have had disagreements with several of the team's more seasoned players as well as board members.
Goal claims that Nagelsmann was never contacted by the Munich team while he was on vacation, thus he only learned of his dismissal via social media.
During a meeting with the board to consider terminating the contract, the former RB Leipzig coach was spotted making his way to the practice facility.
Why did Julian Nagelsmann lose his job at Bayern Munich?
The team's performance in the Bundesliga suffered as a result, as they lost to rivals Bayer Leverkusen right before the international break.
Nagelsmann is an excellent leader. He'll demonstrate his superiority. He is just 35 years old, after all. He was successful before moving to Munich, and he departs the team having won the Bundesliga.
Tuchel, though, is Bayern's mature, already-elite manager who has the ability to not just salvage a domestic campaign but also bring about European triumph.
There were, however, several obvious red flags. Senior players who formerly respected Nagelsmann no longer did. After a loss, there was a notion that he was too quick to criticize his squad and unable to accept responsibility for his part in the failure.
His interaction with the board had deteriorated. He also had a disagreement with Manuel Neuer, the star player for the team.
The German international's recent months have been turbulent; after fracturing his leg in a skiing accident, Toni Tapalovic, a close friend and longstanding coach, was abruptly fired.
After everything, he allegedly angered Nagelsmann and the board by giving a fiery interview to The Athletic.
The manager also had to quell the uproar brought on by his erratic deployment of Joao Cancelo. The full-transfer back's from Manchester City in January was heralded as a significant coup for a squad in need of full-back protection.
The Portuguese, however, have only been seldom used and have shown to be more of an off-field distraction than an asset.
Who will be Bayern Munich next manager?
Fabrizio Romano, a sports writer, claims that Thomas Tuchel and Bayern Munich have reached a personal agreement.
After accepting the offer from the Bavarians, the former coach of Chelsea will become their next coach.
It's been heard that Tuchel would oversee the training session on Monday of the following week.
When coaching Chelsea, Tuchel had some notable success against Guardiola, defeating City three times in a succession, including in the 2021 Champions League Final.
But, once Todd Boehly took over at Stamford Bridge last year, the Germany strategist was fired.
Conclusion
Tuchel will undoubtedly be a successful manager considering his background and coaching expertise.
Borussia Dortmund has won championships under manager Thomas Tuchel in the past.
