Herve Renard, a French manager, has left his position as coach of Saudi Arabia with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF).
The federation reportedly consented to Renard's request to have his contract terminated.
Remember, Herve Renard led Zambia and Ivory Coast to the African Cup of Nations victory.
The 54-year-old Frenchman was hired as Saudi Arabia's coach in July 2019. Last year, he coached Saudi Arabia to a memorable 2-1 victory against eventual champion Argentina at the World Cup in Qatar.
Renard's resignation was officially announced on the Saudi Arabian Football Federation's Twitter account.
"(Renard) has an offer from the French federation and expressed his desire to take this opportunity," SAFF President Yasser Al-Misehal told Saudi Sports Channel (SSC).
"We were informed four days before the current international window and I received a letter from the French Federation, and consulted with a number of members of the board of directors, and we decided to accept this request."
Renard, a Frenchman, is reportedly on the verge of taking over the France Women's squad.
The SAFF president announced that the France women's team would compete in this year's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand beginning on July 20.
