Arsenal 2-2 Fulham: Arsenal drop two points in the title race as Joao Palhinha nets late equaliser for 10-man Cottagers

Arsenal were held to a 2-2 draw against Fulham at the Emirates stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Bukayo Saka's penalty and Eddie Nketiah's goal, both scored by the hosts after they had fallen down by one goal, are both cancelled out by Joao Palhinha, who also scores for the 10-man visitors.

When Eddie Nketiah, who replaced Leandro Trossard at halftime, added to Bukayo Saka's penalty and made it 2-0, canceling out Andreas Pereira's first-minute goal, Mikel Arteta's team felt they had completed the comeback.

However, Joao Palhinha scored with four minutes remaining to earn a brave point.

Following Calvin Bassey was dismissed for two bookable offenses, Marco Silva's team was down to 10 men.

Adama Traore's breakaway attempt for Fulham in the last seconds even had a chance to win it, but Aaron Ramsdale stopped his chipped attempt to maintain the score at 2-2.
