Ex Arsenal Star Alexis Sanchez agrees to return to his former club for free transfer

Alexis Sanchez is scheduled to return to Inter Milan this summer transfer window. 

The Chilean has reportedly struck a deal with his previous club and will have a medical on Friday, according to football transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano.

Sanchez will sign a short-term contract with the Serie A giants when the tests are completed.

Romano tweeted: “Alexis Sanchez to Inter, here we go! He’s back on free transfer after spending one year at OM—an agreement reached and medical booked on Friday. Sanchez will sign short term deal in the next few days as he was waiting for Inter. He’s set to replace Joaquín Correa who joins OM.”

Recall that Sanchez's contract with Marseille ended this summer, making him a free agent.

The 34-year-old has prior Premier League experience with Arsenal and Manchester United before joining Inter Milan on loan. 

Manchester United decided to let Sanchez join Inter Milan on permanent deal but he left the Nerazzurri at the end of his contract and signed up for Marseille
