Midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has been acquired by Liverpool for €45 million.
Ryan Gravenberch, a midfielder for Bayern Munich, has been signed by Liverpool FC to a long-term deal.
After passing his physical and signing the contract today at the AXA Training Center, Dutch international Gravenberch becomes the Reds' fourth new addition of the summer.
The 21-year-old player was an Ajax young player. At 16, he made the club's youngest-ever debut. He later won three Eredivisie championships and was awarded the league's Talent of the Year in 2021.
Additionally, there were two Dutch Cup victories. In the 2021 championship game, Ajax defeated Vitesse Arnhem 2-1, with Gravenberch scoring the game's first goal.
With 103 appearances in all competitions, including 14 starts in the Champions League, and 25 goal contributions, he left Amsterdam.
The next summer, Gravenberch made the transition to Bayern, where he appeared 33 times in 2022–2023 and earned a Bundesliga champion's medal.
Ryan Gravenberch found it difficult starting games at Bayern Munich due to the competition in the team.
Despite coach Thomas Tuchel interest to keep the Dutch international, Ryan Gravenberch wanted more playing time as he hope to be part of Netherlands squad for the 2024 Euros.
