
The Ivory Coast will host the 2023 African Cup of Nations, which will run from 13 January to 11 February (2024).
It was discovered that the 2023 AFCON group stage draw took place on Thursday, October 12, 2023, in Abidjan.
24 teams will compete in Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 11, just before to the next AFCON.
The teams competing in Ivory Coast were chosen by John Obi Mikel, Achraf, Drogba, and Mané, with music icon Akon serving as co-presenter.
Group B will include a matchup between Ghana and Egypt, two of the best teams on the continent, while Morocco, another contender, received a fortuitous draw.
GROUP A: Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea and Nigeria
GROUP B: Mozambique, Cape Verde, Ghana and Egypt
GROUP C: Gambia, Guinea, Cameroon and Senegal
GROUP D: Angola, Mauritania, Burkina Faso and Algeria
GROUP F: Tanzania, Zambia, Democratic Rep. Congo and Morocco
