Tottenham's Coach Ange Postecoglou Cites Fatigue as Contributing Factor in Loss to Brighton

Tottenham Hotspur faced a challenging 4-1 defeat against Brighton during their recent Premier League clash at the Amex stadium on Thursday night. The team conceded twice in each half, with Hinshelwood opening the scoring for Brighton just 11 minutes into the game.

João Pedro extended the lead with a penalty in the 23rd minute, followed by Estupiñán's fine strike in the 63rd minute. João Pedro secured his brace in the 75th minute with another penalty, making it 4-0.

Post-match, Coach Ange Postecoglou acknowledged the team's fatigue, stating, "We looked tired, and it's understandable because we've been on this run for a while now." Despite the challenging circumstances, Tottenham managed to pull two goals back, with Véliz in the 81st minute and Ben Davies in the 85th minute.

Postecoglou praised his team's effort in the face of congested fixtures, noting, "Players giving everything. Even if they aren't sharp physically, they're still giving everything they possibly can and were still trying hard late in the game."

With this defeat, Tottenham Hotspur currently sits in fifth place and looks ahead to their upcoming match against Bournemouth on Sunday.
