Liverpool will miss their talisman Mohamed Salah during the January to mid February due to his participation in the upcoming African Cup of Nations


The 31-year-old forward is expected to lead the Pharaoh of Egypt in the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast

Mohamed Salah who is captain of the Egyptian national team will play his final game against Newcastle United before he travel to meet his fellow national teal mates in Camp.

It's been gathered that Salah is set to play for Liverpool against Newcastle United today before heading to the Ivory Coast to represent Egypt.

Liverpool who are sitting top of the Premier League table with 43 points will host the Magpies at the Anfield stadium.

Salah is expected to eight games for Liverpool four games in the Premier League, FA Cup tie with Arsenal this weekend.

The former Roma star will be unavailable in Liverpool's League Cup semi-final clash with Fulham in the two legged tie.

Salah will miss Liverpool's clash with Chelsea at Anfield in January 31st and away trip to Arsenal in February 4.

If Egypt advance into the knockout stages of the AFCON, Salah will miss Liverpool's home game against Burnley on Feb10.

Liverpool have already recalled Fabio Carvalho from his loan at RB Leipzig because he wasn't playing enough games.

There are rumours that Liverpool plan to loan the Portugal winger in January to another club.
