Nigeria and Bayern Leverkusen's Victor Boniface undergoes successful surgery as he set to be out for two months

Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has confirmed that he has undergone a successful surgery. 

The 22-year-old striker pulled out of the Africa Cup of the Nation following an injury he sustained during the warm up game against Guinea. 

Recall that Boniface was handed his call up by Jose Peseiro for Nigerian campaign at the 2023 AFCON in Côte D'Ivoire. This comes after the striker's impressive performance for Bayern Leverkusen in the on going sesosn. 

Taking to his Twitter timeline, he posted a photo of his hand confirming that he had a surgery as he plans to begin his rehabilitation. 

Bayern Leverkusen have confirmed that the 22-year-old striker will be out for two months due to the injury.
