Fulham secures the loan signing of Armando Broja from Chelsea, with a potential deal value of £4 million
Fulham Football Club has finalized the signing of Chelsea striker Armando Broja on loan until the culmination of the season, in a deal structured to potentially reach £4 million in value.
Armando Broja, the Albanian striker, underwent his medical assessment at the club on Thursday evening before formally joining Fulham on loan until the season's end.
Broja's return to form from an ACL injury, which had sidelined him for nearly a year, has seen him score twice in 19 appearances for Chelsea this season.
Although listed as a substitute, Broja did not feature in Chelsea's recent 4-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
Initially, Chelsea had set the bar high, seeking £50 million for Broja in January, either for a permanent transfer or a loan deal with an obligation to purchase.
However, the terms of the deal underwent significant changes today, as it was revealed that Chelsea would agree to a £5 million loan fee for Broja, altering the landscape of negotiations dramatically.
