Liverpool is set to face Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday in what promises to be an intense Premier League encounter.
The match is scheduled to commence at 4pm GMT, with both teams gearing up for a crucial battle on the pitch.
However, Liverpool will be without the services of their prolific forward, Mohamed Salah, who continues to grapple with injury issues following his participation in the African Cup of Nations tournament held in Cote d'Ivoire.
Salah, aged 31, has been sidelined since his return from the tournament, with his absence felt keenly during Liverpool's recent Carabao Cup final against Chelsea, where he was notably absent from the lineup, instead seen spectating from the stands at Wembley.
In a pre-match press conference ahead of the Nottingham Forest fixture, Liverpool's manager, Jurgen Klopp, provided an update on Salah's condition, stating, "Mo Salah will not be ready to play tomorrow, but he’s on the way back."
Klopp expressed cautious optimism regarding Salah's recovery, mentioning, "Maybe next week. Getting closer. Honestly, I don’t think he is too far off… but he will not be available tomorrow."
Liverpool currently leads the Premier League table by three points, with the team striving to secure the title under Klopp's tenure, who is set to depart from his role as coach at the end of the season.
