Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has provided updates on the injury status of key players ahead of their upcoming match against Nottingham Forest.
Liverpool is set to visit the City Ground this weekend, aiming to build on their recent successes, including their League Cup triumph over Chelsea and their progression to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup after a convincing victory against Southampton.
However, Klopp faces the possibility of having to rely on his youth players once again as several key players are expected to be sidelined for the match against Nottingham Forest.
In a media conference on Friday, Klopp revealed that Darwin Nunez and Dominic Szoboszlai participated in training with the team but will undergo late fitness tests to determine their availability for the upcoming fixture. Klopp stated, "Darwin Nunez and Dominik Szoboszlai trained with the team yesterday."
Additionally, Klopp confirmed that Wataru Endo sustained an injury during the closing stages of the League Cup Final against Chelsea last weekend. Endo, along with full-back Andy Robertson, remains sidelined due to injury. Klopp mentioned, "Wataru Endo and Andy Robertson didn't — but there's a plan they join today."
As Liverpool prepares to face Nottingham Forest, Klopp's injury updates highlight the potential challenges the team may encounter, emphasizing the importance of squad depth and resilience in maintaining their competitive edge throughout the season.
