Aide to Delta State Governor Criticizes Actor Zubby Michael's Funeral Attire
An aide to the Governor of Delta State, Ossai Ovie Success, has expressed disappointment and disapproval over actor Zubby Michael's choice of attire at the funeral of his late colleague, Jnr Pope, which took place in Enugu State on Friday, May 17.
In a post on his social media handle, Ossai Success stated that Zubby's decision to wear a red t-shirt to the funeral was inappropriate and disrespectful to the deceased, who passed away at a young age.
Ossai emphasized that the occasion called for sober reflection and mourning, rather than celebration, and suggested that more somber colors like black or white would have been more fitting.
While acknowledging Zubby as a talented actor and a good person, Ossai Success expressed his disappointment and encouraged him to be more mindful of his attire in similar situations in the future.
Taking to his social media platform, Ossai wrote, "This is disrespectful to the late Jnr Pope. Dear Zubby Michael, your red dressing is inappropriate. The burial ceremony calls for sober reflection, not a celebration party ground. You could have worn black or white. I'm disappointed, though I know you're a good guy and I love watching your movies. I know you made an error and will do better next time. One love, bro."
Ossai Success's comments have sparked a conversation about the importance of respecting cultural norms and traditions, particularly during solemn occasions like funerals.
