Luke Shaw Faces Race Against Time to Be Fit for England's Euro Opener - Gareth Southgate Reveals

England manager Gareth Southgate has addressed the fitness of Luke Shaw ahead of the team's opening match against Serbia in the 2024 Euro campaign.

When asked about Shaw's availability, Southgate stated, "Luke Shaw faces a race against time to be fit enough to participate in the Euro 2024 tournament."

Southgate added, "Although Shaw's progress is encouraging, there's still work to be done before he can play in a match." 

Southgate also noted that Shaw, who has missed a significant amount of football, will be a "long shot" for the final squad.

Shaw's injury has been a subject of concern for the team, and Southgate's update provides insight into the player's chances of participating in the tournament.

England's Fixtures at the 2024 Euros:

- June 16: Serbia vs. England (Gelsenkirchen, 21:00)
- June 20: Denmark vs. England (Frankfurt, 18:00)
- June 25: England vs. Slovenia (Cologne, 21:00)

The Three Lions will kick off their campaign in the 2024 Euro against Serbia, followed by matches against Denmark and Slovenia in the group stage.
