Joselu Departing Real Madrid for Al Gharafa in Qatar

Spanish forward Joselu is bidding farewell to Real Madrid, the club he helped secure a historic double last season, and is set to join Qatari side Al Gharafa. The 32-year-old striker, who won La Liga and the Champions League with Los Blancos in the 2023-2024 campaign, is seeking a new challenge in the Middle East.

Joselu joined Real Madrid in July 2022 on a free transfer from Deportivo Alavés, signing a two-year contract with the Spanish giants.

During his stint at the Bernabéu, he made 34 appearances, scoring 9 goals and providing 3 assists. His contributions played a significant role in Real Madrid's successful season, which saw them lift both the La Liga and Champions League trophies.

Despite Carlo Ancelotti's desire to retain Joselu, the player has opted for a new chapter in his career, agreeing to a deal with Al Gharafa. The Qatari club has been bolstering their squad in preparation for the upcoming season, and Joselu's experience and skillset are expected to be valuable additions.

Joselu's move to Al Gharafa marks a new phase in his career, following successful spells in Spain and Germany. The forward has consistently demonstrated his scoring prowess, netting over 150 goals across his professional career.
