Ramsdale's future at the Emirates Stadium has been cast into doubt following the arrival of David Raya, who has since become Mikel Arteta's preferred choice between the posts. With two years remaining on his contract, plus a 12-month extension option, Arsenal is keen to negotiate a permanent sale rather than sanctioning a temporary move.

Ajax, however, remains keen on acquiring Ramsdale's services and is exploring alternative options to persuade Arsenal to reconsider their stance. The Dutch giants are reportedly willing to include a mandatory purchase clause in any loan agreement, in an effort to secure the goalkeeper's long-term signature.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has already identified potential replacements for Ramsdale, with Espanyol's Joan Garcia emerging as a target. The 23-year-old Spanish goalkeeper boasts an impressive reputation for claiming crosses and possesses a higher save percentage than Ramsdale, making him an attractive proposition for the Gunners.
