Arsenal Rejects Marseille's €27 Million Bid for Eddie Nketiah as Club Holds Out for Higher Transfer Fee Amid Player's Desire for Regular First-Team Football.
Arsenal has turned down a bid from Marseille for Eddie Nketiah, with the offer valued at approximately €27 million. Despite Nketiah expressing a strong interest in joining Marseille and having agreed on personal terms with the club, Arsenal is holding out for a higher transfer fee.
Arsenal has set Nketiah’s value between €35 million and €40 million, indicating their willingness to part with the player if their asking price is met. Marseille is particularly interested in Nketiah as a potential replacement for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who recently moved to a Saudi Arabian club.
Nketiah has made 168 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 38 goals and providing seven assists. However, he has had limited playing time under manager Mikel Arteta and is seeking more regular first-team football.
